    On 19 May, Medusa founder Petr Merkuryev spoke on the "Markets, Macro & Risk" panel at Eagle Alpha's Alternative Data Conference in London, alongside Mario Dell'Era (Senior Quantitative Market Risk Manager, EnBW) and chaired by Brendan Furlong (Chief Data Advisory Officer, Eagle Alpha).

    The 30-minute discussion examined whether macro has become the dominant driver of returns across markets: equities, commodities, rates and FX. Petr's argument: macro didn't take over. Calibration cycles broke under faster regime transitions. The panel covered factor models, correlation breakdowns, multi-strat crowding risk, and the role of AI in stress testing.
